Do you celebrate your progress?
I mean PAUSE and NOTICE and FEEL
rather than rushing on to the next thing ...
Here's a weekly practice I want to share with you.
1. At the end of your work week (that's a Friday afternoon for me so I'll soon be doing this!) ... clear your work space, even a little
2. Flick through your diary or calendar and play the week back in your mind
3. Use your 🔎to search out all the SMALL, tiny, seemingly insignificant ways in which you've made *progress*. Not completion, progress. That email to A you've had in drafts for a while and you finally pressed send, that tricky conversation with B that you had, that smile and moment of connection with C. The ways that you've cared for yourself this week. The ways you've created inclusion and belonging in the team around you. What have you done this week that's moving you more towards the life you want to lead, the contribution you want to make, the kind of world you want to create around you.
4. Write it all down. Yes, ALL of it. I use a post it and I write small.
5. Take a moment to notice all the things.
6. Allow yourself to feel... proud of yourself, grateful for the opportunities and learning, relieved that the week is over!
7. Date your post it and put it away into an envelope .... over time you're gonna collate massive evidence of all the progress you're making in your life
8. Feel *good* and hop into your weekend with a skip in your step.
That's it! Super simple. Click here for video version.
Over to you:
Will you give it a go? let me know how you get on!
