Walking with a question
I woke up this morning desperate to clear some very stagnant energy in my body.
I've stayed tethered to my desk too much this week and was gasping for some fresh air.
The sun was up and she lured me outside.
I was thinking I'll walk with a 'what next' question and see what emerges (do you ever walk with a question as your companion?)
As I started climbing the hill and my heart rate went up, as I listened to music (fav tunes from Change Makers playlist) I felt emotion rising …
I let it come
...gratitude. relief and nervous excitement around some book stuff
...disappointment, frustration and anxiety around some consultancy stuff
...sadness and concern around some family stuff
then noticing I was RAGE-ing around the reproductive health stuff
I felt it all
I cried
I ranted at the hill
I sang
I did yoga poses, warrior and cactus to embody resolve, as well as side twists to wring out all the tension!
(no-one else was around .. just in case you’re feeling anxious imagining me wandering the hill stretching, crying and singing 😂)
I felt my body release the stagnant energy, then started to walk back home. Soooo good to feel it all and release it.
NOW I was ready for some open possibility thinking.
NOW I was ready for what's next.
NOW I can lead in my business, and parent, and take action on the things that are firing me up, from a place of renewal rather than a place of exhaustion and emotional numbness.
Over to you:
💛do you need to give yourself permission and space to FEEL this weekend?
💛what do you need to RELEASE ?
Take a breath. You've got this.
